Bill Hader is currently in the spotlight with his comedic talents on saturday night live, and in his time off the snl sets he works with fellow actors also his friends on movies such as HOT ROD and SUPERBAD. He is also co-starring along side some friends and his wife Maggie Carey, who is a award winning filmmaker.

Bill was a production assisant before entering the improv and sketch world. He worked on a couple of movies such as Collateral Damage and was even cast as an extra by Arnold Shwarzenegger but it was cut from the film, but on the side studied at places such as Second City where he also made films with a couple of friends Eric Filipkowski, Mel Cowan, and Megan Mullaullys brother in law Matt Offerman. He also worked on a short film with friend Nicholas Jasenovec for a star wars tribute which bill says he was thrilled about working on a tribute to star wars being a huge fan of the series.

Megan Mullaully (Will & Grace) caught one of his acts with Animals From The Future and sent him to Lorne Michaels. The group did a sketch show at the UCB in New York presented in front of the SNL Cast and Writers, and then bill did a private audition and landed his first gig when he got a call in his office in LA and moved to new york. His start on SNL began in the cold opening as a psychologist discussing the current impact of the JetBlue airline making an emergency landing, and later in the episode jumped right into an impression with Al Pachino in a sketch about celebrities helping to rebuild ruined homes in hurricane katrina.

Today Bill is on the program as a regular cast member (promoted in 2006), bringing comedy in impressions such as Al Pachino, Vincent Price, Peter Falk and has been in a number of memorable and hilarious sketches such as Joplin Alive and wrote the short ?The Tangent? which he appeared in and had Fred Armisen star in it. He has also appeared in popular digital shorts from Laser Cats (2006) and the sequel Laser Cats 2 (2007) and the popular "Dear Sister aka The Shooting" both with Andy Samberg.

In the summer of 2007 he has had four films out, Knocked Up (cameo piece), Hot Rod, Superbad, and Brothers Solomon (cameo piece) and has landed on all major talk shows, "The Late Show with David Letterman", "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (2005 and 2007). Due to the success of Superbad and his notable films Hot Rod and Knocked Up, Bill and Seth Rogen were presenters at the 2007 Video Music Awards (VMA's) and made 3 appearances during the show, one with Kid Rock. Bill was also guest on MTV's TRL with his co-star Chris Mintz-Plasse (McLovin) of Superbad hosting TRL for the day.

Bill is currently married to writer/filmmaker and UCB performer Maggie Carey, and both currently reside in New York City. Bill is currently filming four upcoming films for releases of 2008, and 2009, and will be working with Greg Mattola again. He has also mentioned a possible screenwrite he is working on.
